Derek Distenfield, Army Veteran, Founder and CEO Legal Docs By Me

Derek Distenfield is the Founder and CEO of Legal Docs By Me. Derek grew up in California and enlisted in the Army in 2006 and became an Air Traffic Controller. He attended Embry Riddle University while on active duty and was later commissioned as an officer. He has deployed once to Iraq and twice to Afghanistan. Derek had this to say about his service:

I heard one of your guests …talk about it (military service) being the defining moment of his life and that really kind of resonated with me, and I have never used those words up until today, but it is absolutely been a defining moment and I would also use the word phenomenal experience”

Derek talked about how important finding a Micro Loan was to his business, as well as using Hourly Nerd to help develop his Business Plan.

Derek has this to say to potential entrepreneurs:

Podcasts and books are great and they give you a foundation, but at some point in time you just have to jump in with both feet”
