In this episode, we interview Jake Wood of Team Rubicon and POS REP. Jake was a scholarship athlete, who played football at the University of Wisconsin. After his graduation, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps as an infantryman. Jake was deployed to Iraq where he served as an Infantry Squad Leader. Upon his return from Iraq, Jake was selected to become a Scout Sniper. He was Honor Graduate from Scout Sniper School, which has one of the highest rates of attrition in the Marine Corps. After graduation from Scout Sniper School, he deployed to Afghanistan. Jake completed his service with the Marines in the fall of 2009 and was planning on attending graduate school. In January 2010, a devastating earthquake hit Haiti. Jake connected with a friend from the Marine Corps and flew to Haiti on his own to help. That experience led him to found Team Rubicon, a Disaster Response Veterans Service Organization. He is also founder of POS REP, a social network and application for Military Veterans.
