Jeff is the Founder of the Good Financial Cents Blog, Author of the book Soldier of Finance, Host of the Dollars and Roses Podcast, and CEO and Founder of Alliance Wealth Management. He served in the Army National Guard as a Noncommissioned Officer during Operation Iraqi Freedom.
In this interview, Jeff describes how he dropped out of college and was working in a dead end job when he decided to join the Army National Guard. The discipline he received in the Army helped give him the drive to graduate college with a degree in finance. In 2005, Jeff deployed with his unit to Iraq for 16 months. Upon his return, he founded Alliance Wealth Management, discovered blogging and founded GoodFinancialCents.com. Jeff tells us about the ups and downs of owning a Wealth Management Firm and challenges of running a successful blog. He also has a blog and podcast with his wife, Dollars and Roses. Jeff recently released the book Soldier of Finance, which combines the discipline he received as an Army NCO and the financial experience he gained by running his own firm. You can also find Jeff on Twitter @JJeffRose. If you caught the end of the podcast, this will make sense.
