Episode 18 is an interview with Aaron Kletzing. Aaron is Co-Founder and COO of RallyPoint, the US Military’s Professional Network. Think LinkedIn for Active Duty Military and Veterans. He grew up on the north side of Chicago and attended the United States Military Academy at West Point where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Economics.
Aaron was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the Army as an Artillery Officer and served 5 years on active duty. Aaron is a veteran of OIF 07-09 and as of 2010, is also a survivor of Iraq-related cancer. After leaving the Army. He was accepted to Harvard Business School after completing his first year in June 2012, Aaron was selected as a Fellow at HBS’s Rock Center for Entrepreneurship. He is chose to postpone his final year in the MBA program to help lead RallyPoint.
Aaron had this advice for aspiring Veteran Entrepreneurs:
Find a close knit group of people….people that you can bounce ideas off of, and you can really trust their advice….making sure that you have a good crew behind you and surrounding you is really important.
