Tax season is upon us. From now until April 15th, those of us in the U.S. will bombarded with commercials for tax preparation software and services. I was recently listening to one by H&R Block. The main point of the message was that Americans were leaving over a Billion Dollars behind when filling out their taxes. H&R Block is telling the audience they don’t know about all of the many opportunities available to take a deduction; therefore they are leaving money on the table. That got me to thinking about the parallel between filing your taxes and being a veteran.
Veterans have a lot of benefits. Specifically, Veterans who want to start a business. This led me to the tax analogy. Similar to the H&R Block commercial, I believe veterans are leaving opportunities on the table because they do not know about all of the programs and organizations that want to help them succeed. There are programs from the SBA, VA, Non-Profits, and Private Organizations. I have literally pages of organizations and opportunities. Many of these programs offer free or reduced training, mentoring, and financing options. Do you know about all of them? If you don’t, you are likely leaving money on the table just like the H&R Block commercial. I am working on a course to save you time and help you take advantage of the opportunities you earned as a veteran. If you want to know more. Please Click Here. What programs have you used?
