Mark Rockefeller is the is Co-Founder/CEO at StreetShares.com, a platform where select investors compete to invest in high-growth Veteran-owned and Main Street businesses.
Mark grew up in Colorado Springs, CO and attended the University of Colorado in Boulder. He graduated and was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the United States Air Force. Mark served on Active Duty and later attended Law School. He transitioned to the Judge Advocate General Corps and served in Iraq. While in Iraq, Mark represented U.S. interests in Iraqi courts.
After leaving the Air Force, Mark worked in Africa helping with social-entrepreneurship and microfinance, then went to work for a global financial services law firm. He went on to Co-Found StreetShares to help Main Street Businesses get the funding they need but were unable to receive. StreetShares blends the benefits of peer-to-peer lending with expert underwriting and institutional capital. StreetShares is launching with the Veterans Business Campaign (VBC), an initiative to provide private commercial loans to the best Veteran-owned small businesses in America.
