Dave Cass is the Co-Founder and CEO of Uvize. His company’s mission is to help military veterans succeed in college and to help better and services work more efficiently.
Dave grew up in Massachusetts, and attended Tulane University on a Naval ROTC scholarship. After graduation, he became a Naval Aviator and flew SH-60s. Dave had multiple deployments, and flew in support of both OEF and OIF. He was later assigned to teach Naval ROTC at the University of Colorado.
After transitioning to the Navy reserves, David continued to take college courses and talk to student veterans. This led to the book “The Strategic Student Veteran” and eventually to the founding of Uvize.
Dave and been through TechStars Patriot Boot Camp as well as the full TechStars program. I asked Dave what are some of the things that accelerated his success:
Meeting the right people is a huge part…I am just an incredibly strong believer in mentorship and the role of mentors…I also don’t believe in just one on one mentorship ….mentorship is a team thing
