Background
Amy Shick and Lauren Rothlisberger are the founders of the Military Property Project. They met while their husbands were serving in the Army together at Ft. Polk, Louisiana.
Getting Started
They both had an interest in real estate and property management. They started by developing a series of eBooks focused on property investment for military families.
Entrepreneurship
The eBooks led to the start of the Military Property Project and their next two products Scout and KeepBoard (launching soon). Scout is a network of verified Military Spouses who are able to help do property management task for service members remotely. (You own a house in Ft. Bragg North Carolina and you are now living in California. A Scout in Ft. Bragg can go check on your property for example). Amy’s family is now stationed in Alaska and they manage the business from two different locations.
Quotes
It really takes a lot of daring and guts to say … ok I am putting myself out there…. even if someone tells me I can’t do it, if I know that I can, I am just going to keep with it…
