Background
Sam Meek is the Co-Founder and CEO of Sandboxx. Sam grew up in Sun Valley, Idaho in a family of Marines. He enlisted in the Marine Corps in 2002 after graduation from High School. After 5 years, and two deployments to Iraq, Sam left the Marine Corps as a Sergeant. His first role out of the Marine was working in a Hedge Fund.
Entrepreneurship
The idea for Sandboxx started after Sam was introduced to Major General Ray Smith who was building a family readiness platform for the Marine Corps. The idea was to build a platform to connect the military community. The first version of Sandboxx was built with an outside partner to prove the concept. Sandboxx is focused on being a mobile first platform, and launched initially on the Apple iOS platform. It is now available on both Android and Apple.
